Byrnes & Rupkey, Inc. has an opportunity for a Technical Storeroom Supervisor in the Chicago, IL area. This position is a direct hire for a successful and innovative food company.
Responsibilities:
• Providing and managing the spare parts used by the Maintenance Department;
• Ensuring availability, quality, 5S storage conditions, etc.;
• Establishing and controlling the material movements routine including receiving, issues, returns, reordering, scrapping, etc.;
• Establishing and controlling the inventory control processes including cycle counting, storeroom access process, etc.;
• Organizing and managing staffing levels;
• Providing inventory reporting to Finance and Purchasing;
• Ensuring compliance with all safety, food safety, and environmental guidelines.
Education: High School diploma or GED required.
Required Skills:
• 3+ years of experience in a technical field such as food manufacturing or consumer goods industry;
• Experience directly supervising others;
• Experience with CMMS systems and IT systems used in storeroom control such as SAP, Maximo, MP2, MLS, Excel, Word, PowerPoint;
• Experience participating in or coordinating the organization of stores, technical workshops or other similar work places;
• Knowledge of 5S process, basic Root Cause, 7 Step;
• Training in SHE and Food Safety preferred;
• Knowledge and exposure to TPM, preventive maintenance planning and maintenance execution preferred;
• Strong interpersonal, communication, Project Management skills.
