PLANT CONTROLLER - RG
location is between St .Louis, MO., and Evansville, IN.
Description
Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of all product costing including development of corporate budget and product standards. Supervises Cost Accountant position, creates and maintains financial measurement tools, responsible for forecasting and month end plant results. Participates in both operational improvement efforts and systematic improvement projects. Responsible for supervising capital projects, providing cost analysis in support of operations projects and cost savings initiatives. Aids in auditing annual inventories as needed.
1. Directs all procedures and activities performed in the cost accounting area in the plants he/she supports.
2. Budgets and forecasts all manufacturing departments in the plants that he/she supports.
3. Participates in new standards development.
4. Participates in annual inventories and supporting the cycle count program.
5. Prepares weekly/monthly financials and metrics.
6. Primary financial support person for Operations in his/her plant.
7. Responsible for quarterly reserve calculations.
8. Works with IT and operations teams on developing new processes/reporting.
9. Performs other duties, as assigned.
MUST HAVES:
Someone with previous manufacturing experience and solid standard cost accounting knowledge.
Education:
Bachelor of Science degree in financial discipline or equivalent in education and experience.
Experience:
Four years’ experience in an accounting function
Communication:
Strong communication skills to obtain cooperation in obtaining necessary information and to convey information to subordinates.
Administration:
Proficient in MS office software
Understanding of mainframe accounting software.
Strong attention to detail to recognize errors or inconsistencies
Thorough knowledge of Cost Accounting theory & practice
Interpersonal Relations:
Strong internal customer service skills
Build constructive and effective relationships with a broad and diverse group of people
Leadership:
Strong leadership and supervisory skills
Analytical and Conceptual:
Good planning and organizational skills
Use logic and appropriate methods to solve problems with effective solutions
Effectively exercise discretion and independent judgment
Dependability - Must be able to maintain satisfactory record of attendance and conduct. Must be able to work any shift and overtime as required.

Base Salary - $60,000 to $90,000 *** Never repost ***
