The principal challenges of this position are leading and providing the knowledge, expertise, and initiative to assure that appropriate quality standards and systems are maintained in the closure-manufacturing department, such as ISO 9000, FSSC 22000, GMP. This requires the incumbent to constantly keep current on the latest quality standards, statistical methods, quality procedures, and to employ those most appropriate to monitor and evaluate the manufacturing process to insure continuous improvement. The incumbent would also be responsible for supervising the internal auditors of the Quality Management Systems.
MAIN DUTIES:
1. As the Quality Management Representative, develop, implement and maintain an appropriate quality system infrastructure based on ISO 9000, FSSC 22000, GMP. practices standards in the closure manufacturing process.
2. Supervise the group of internal auditors to help implement and maintain the various quality management system activities.
3. Train personnel in ISO 9000 and GMP standards in addition to the proper application of appropriate statistical and problem solving tools.
4. Lead improvements in all manufacturing process on a continuous basis together with the other department by utilizing advanced statistical techniques to determine its state of control and capability.
5. Lead team activities in a participative work environment to develop, implement, and document the quality system.
6. Provide expertise in the analysis of customer complaints by using advanced statistical techniques to learn root cause of problem and participate in the effort to correct the issue to improve customer satisfaction.
7. Provide knowledge and leadership in the quality assurance department.
8. Ensure that good housekeeping standards are maintained throughout the department and that all employees.
9. Responsible for maintaining discipline in the department.
10. Carry out any other reasonable duties, as and when necessary, to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the quality department.
