Major purpose: Under direct supervision, performs repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities and equipment. Working in a generalist capacity, typically performs work in several of the common maintenance trades such as lighting re-lamps, painting, drywall repairs, office environment installations, general Facilities Department assistance.
Education/Experience/Licenses etc.: Required Experience: Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in a generalist capacity. Knowledge, skills and abilities; requires basic PC skills including use of MS Office applications, Internet research/sourcing, communication skills, professional and work well with others (internal/external customers) all levels including vendors and contract personnel. Physical demands including walking use hands, standing, reaching, climbing, balancing stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
Required Education: High school education. Some trade school or other specialized schooling in common trade is preferred or equivalent amount of experience or training. Functions in lieu of formal schooling.
