Responsibilities:
Development, implementation, execution, updating, and monitoring of Project Controls including planning, scheduling, and cost control, activities.
Cost and schedule status reporting, forecast reviews, and presentations to the corporate management team.
Employee relations for reporting staff, including hiring, training, counseling, performance appraisals, and salary administration
Train and develop subordinates to be more effective and efficient
Oversee development and delivery of training programs related to Project Controls
Monitors scope, budget, schedules, and work in progress to ensure project plans are implemented effectively.
Responsible for auditing projects for compliance with policies and the client contract.
Exhibit knowledge of the industrial construction and plant maintenance industry.
Participate in Estimating and Bid review activities.
Responsible for Project Controls budgeting, forecasts, and expenditures.
Analyze variances in cost and schedule performance against the plan, and communicate the reasons for variances and future plans to the management team.
Oversee weekly and monthly reports for the clients on the status of Project Controls activities
Assist with client bid presentations and progress presentations and meetings
Interface with operations management and the management team
Ensures the quality and consistency of performance by project controls members
Assist in the development and implementation of strategic plans related to Project Controls
Identify cost control and scheduling problems and provide appropriate solutions.
Travel will vary- approximately 20%-50% travel.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:
10 to 20+ years in the industrial construction industry (chemical plant, refinery, power, and petrochemical plant construction projects) including project controls experience.
EPC experience required
Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred in Engineering, Construction Management or Business Administration.
Management experience in the project controls field.
Proficient with all Microsoft Office Applications.
Strong skills in scheduling, estimating, and cost control
