VEP Healthcare (VEP) operates emergency departments in over 30 hospitals throughout California, Kansas, New Mexico, North Carolina, Texas and Virginia and provides hospitalist services in California hospitals. Formed in 1981, VEP is a democratic medical group owned solely by its practicing physicians, advanced practice clinicians, and office personnel. VEP corporate headquarters are located in Walnut Creek, California.
As employees of VEP, Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs) receive a very competitive hourly base rate and an opportunity to earn productivity compensation at various sites. California Hospital Medical Center- Los Angeles, California
California Hospital Medical Center (CHMC) is a 316 bed, Level II trauma center and one of the major emergency care providers in the area with the backup capabilities of an acute care medical center. As one of the busiest emergency departments in the area, CHMC provides treatment to over 80,000 patients annually. 27 beds in the main emergency department first opened its doors in 1887, and 8 beds in ED South (Fast Track). The ED has 44 hours of physician coverage and 24 hours of Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) coverage daily. CHMC is located at the southern end of downtown Los Angeles, just a few blocks from Staples Center and LA Live. Los Angeles offers a multitude of cultural and entertainment options.
