Process Technician
JOB SUMMARY: This position has the responsibility of maintaining and improving injection molding and secondary processes that allow us to meet or exceed production efficiencies while providing our customer base with quality parts.
REPORTS TO: Shift Supervisor
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Responsible for timely changeover, set up injection molds and work stations that meet the needs of our employees as well as our production goals.
• Responsible for meeting or exceeding company standards for efficiency and utilization.
• Work with Shift Supervisor and Quality Department on approval of start-up parts.
• Monitor process and work station information as presented in mold books and
ensure accuracy and conformance to company standards.
• Responsible for accurate maintenance of standard approved process sheets
for each part and press.
• Aid in Design jigs, fixtures, conveyer systems, robotics as necessary to meet or improve standards.
• Assist Shift Supervisor in shift operation as requested.
• Document tooling damage and/or processing issues, maintenance issues as appropriate.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
• High School Diploma or 10 years in manufacturing experience.
• Experience of 3 or more years in processing role within plastic molding industry.
• Ability to interpret part drawings, knowledge of plastic part quality requirements, and computer systems required.
• Must be proficient in technical set-up of injection molding machines and working knowledge on establishment of robust processes.
• Must have own tools for job.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Certified to use fork lift.
