Responsible for support, design, implementation, and configuration of operating environments across the enterprise (Red Hat Linux and Windows). Responsible for troubleshooting system problems and recommending solutions to resolve complex problems. Ensures system security throughout the organization, participates in project planning and execution, and analyzes capacity and performance of operating environments. Provides timely and accurate level 3 on-call support for area of expertise.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
BS Degree in Computer Science
•5+ years of proven experience administering enterprise level IT systems.
•Effective verbal and written communication skills.
•Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others
•Displays willingness to accept responsibility, display initiative, good judgment and a positive attitude.
•3+ years of experience supporting Red Hat Linux Server Systems and Windows 2008R2 servers in a business environment.
•Strong experience in various scripting languages including Bash shell, PowerShell etc.
•Strong experience with virtualized server environments
•Strong experience in Microsoft Active Directory and group policies.
•Experience in implementation and support of VMware in a business environment.
•Experience in Storage Area Networks (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS).
•Experience creating automated installers for various OS and applications.
•Experience with enterprise class hardware and applications.
•At least one current certification in your area of expertise.
•An IT security certification is beneficial.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Implement, test, debug, and document new systems, or enhances existing systems.
•Review and coordinate test plans for new and existing environments.
•Works with System Analyst to implement complex hardware and software environments.
•Plan and execute project tasks as assigned, working with various applications, systems, and staff.
•Write scripts, templates, interfaces, and utility application as needed to maximize efficiency.
•Troubleshoot or recommend solutions to a diverse range of system problems.
•Coordinates resolution of vendor issues.
•Assists lower level technical staff in problem resolution of vendor issues.
•Assists lower level technical staff in problem resolution.
•Identifies, develops, and implements monitoring and alerting requirements to ensure the highest level of production availability, and performance.
•Support the deployment of security patches, and configurations to the production environment.
•Review network performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, schedule upgrades and collaborate with IT management on optimization efforts.
•Secure network system by establishing and enforcing policies in line with IT security policy.
•Upgrade data network equipment to latest stable firmware releases.
•Participation in 24x7 On-Call rotation.
