POSITION SUMMARY: To provide technical service / engineering support to catalyst customers. Assist sales personnel as needed to improve catalyst and/or plant performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide technical support to users of catalysts; assist sales personnel with all on-site post-sale activities such as catalyst loading supervision, catalyst pre-treatments, plant-start up, trouble-shooting and catalyst unloading
• Travel jointly with Sales Representatives as needed to investigate and address specific technical issues or problems
• Evaluate plant operating data using proprietary computer tools.
• Prepare new plant designs and catalyst recommendations based on Design Guidelines
• Develop technical engineering programs
• Provide training presentations and procedure review to plant personnel as needed
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering (preferred). Alternate degrees such as Chemistry or Petroleum Engineering or a related science will be considered with relevant work experience
• Zero to five years of work experience in Syngas, Ammonia, Refinery, or a related process This could be work done as a Production or Process Engineer
• Knowledge of chemical processes/reactors and prior unit operations / tech service experience to the chemical, petrochemical, or refinery industry required
• Prior experience in plant data evaluation, troubleshooting is desired
• Excellent computer skills (MS Office) required, experience with computer simulation packages desired
• Must have excellent oral and written communication both in person and on the phone
• Required - Language fluency in English. Desirable - Language fluency in Spanish
