The SalesForce.com Lead Developer role is hands-on in the designing, coding, enhancing and testing of software applications to meet business process requirements. This role will apply functional knowledge and technical expertise in the implementation and maintenance of custom solutions.
The role will also involve overall project management of multiple projects within the Salesforce application, requiring strong organizational and time management skills. Other skills required include at least three years of experience in APEX and Visualforce programming, the ability to engage effectively at the business and technical level, excellent analysis and client facing skills. This role also involves the ability to develop processes and methodologies, and to rapidly learn and take advantage of new
concepts, business models, and technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, code, unit test, system test, performance test, debug, implement, and support
Salesforce.com applications and integrations.
• Ensure production Salesforce support team follows best practices when architecting, programming or documenting solutions. This includes creating standards and documentation and leveraging processes to ensure consistency.
• Work closely with the Data Architecture and Data Warehouse teams, implementation partners,3rd party vendors and other technology teams to ensure appropriate infrastructure selection, maintenance, policies and procedures are in place to support the Salesforce environment.
• Communicate and collaborate with various business stakeholders to gain understanding of business requirements, building the appropriate solution, and providing appropriate documentation and/or training back to the stakeholders.
• Design and implement APIs and web-based interfaces utilizing Apex code, Web Services, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Requires a bachelor's degree in area of IT specialty or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree
• At least 5 years of experience in the IT field
• At least 5 years of Salesforce.com development experience as well as experience in systems integration environments with large, complex third party solutions coupled with proven expertise integrating solutions with other applications within the overall technology environment
• One or more SFDC Certifications required with experience in APEX programming / Visual Force, AppExchange applications, Workflows, Triggers, Validation Rules, Assignment Rules
• 5+ years of experience with Force.com development (Apex & Visualforce)
• 5+ Experience with Salesforce.com’s Sales Cloud and Service Cloud
• 5+ years of overall business experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where multiple projects are in progress at any time.
Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge:
• Experience building usable and scalable systems or applications.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and escalate customer issues as required
