The Manager, Global Payroll has global accountability for the payroll operation for the Americas and Asia Pacific regions ensuring accurate, timely and efficient payment to employees, payroll related taxes to government agencies, and reporting of payroll to Finance.

In this role the Manager, Global Payroll will govern various vendor relationships that support the payroll process in addition to managing the Payroll staff. This individual will provide strategic direction and engage with other functions to coordinate overall process review with multiple teams to ensure the consistent delivery of services.

The Manager, Global Payroll will be accountable to ensure all Payroll functions and processes meet the company's SOX requirements and will manage various internal and external audits throughout the year.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Lead the global payroll function to ensure compliance and drive standardization across locations
•Review, enhance, simplify and develop payroll processes; including approval and oversight of all process changes
•Oversee payroll compliance and manage vendor relationships
•Redesign operational procedures as needed to capitalize on efficiencies
•Oversee and provide direction for all payroll system projects, new development, conversions, etc..
•Identify industry leading practices that can strengthen service delivery (i.e. structure, process, technology)
•Develop, execute and disseminate comprehensive project plans
•Pro-actively identify opportunities to drive improvements in partnership with all the related functions that are part of the end to end payroll process
•Establish service expectations within the business and Payroll staff
•Monitor performance against service expectations and ensure that results are achieved
•Use metrics to drive continuous improvement and best practices
•Build a strong team with a mindset that supports continuous improvement and the elimination of inefficiencies/redundancies
•Ensure that staff are adequately trained to perform at expected level
•Drive controls including, but not limited to, SOX oversight and controls for Americas and Asia Pacific regions
•Serve as functional SME for all enhancements and regulatory changes
•Develop and maintain payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures

REQUIREMENTS:
•Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics with Masters Degree preferred
•Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification highly desired
•10+ years industry experience with extensive experience in leading global operation processes
•Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while meeting frequent deadlines
•Significant supervisory experience required, including experience working in a shared service environment
•Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities
•Ability to understand global and regional issues
•Strong attention to detail, critical thinking and computer skills, organizational skills
•Ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization
•In depth experience with large scale projects, system enhancements and implementations, employee conversions as a result of mergers & acquisitions
•Strong functional knowledge of payroll processes and compliance
•Ability to navigate compliance requirements in a global setting either through local teams or external relationships
•Ability to delegate and remain organized while managing multiple variables
•Proven project management skills and the ability to plan and manage team workloads
•Proven ability to develop talent
•Recent, demonstrated proficiency and experience using ADP suite of products (Workforce Now, Custom Reporting, Streamline, Pay@work, Enterprise eTime)
•Exceptional communications skills (oral and written)
