Senior accountant - Atlanta
Job Summary:
Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by performing the following duties.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare and process journal entries
Analyze and reconcile the activity in certain balance sheet accounts such as cash, prepaid expenses, accrued receivables/payables, other assets/liabilities and prepare adjusting journal entries and schedules as needed
Update monthly management reporting packages including income statement and balance sheet
Assist with the completion of the various quarterly and annual reporting schedules
Monitor internal control procedures to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley
Process the fixed assets (additions, retirements, transfers, reports, reconciling the sub-ledger and physical audit )
Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures
Process Inter/Intra company billings and reconciliations
Assist with the completion of government surveys and remits such as use tax
Assist HR with Bi-Weekly Hourly and Salary Payroll as needed
Assist Inventory Control Manager with item set up, inventory adjustments, cycle counting and reconciliations
Assist the Controller as needed; working on special projects as management requests

Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years of experience working as an Accountant in a manufacturing or distribution environment. Advanced knowledge of Excel including a proficiency in pivot tables and VLookups.
