Collection associate is responsible for the collection of past due receivables under the direction of the team leader
Degree Of Accountability:
To resolve accounts receivable issues with our external/internal customers and to achieve the performance measurements set out by mgmt.
Primary Duties / Responsibilities
To collect on all outstanding receivables on assigned accounts
To escalate and recommend an account for caution or hold on future orders when there is cause for loss of financial exposure
To ensure timely follow-up and information gathering so that collection is made on all outstanding receivables on assigned accounts
To determine the validity of customer disputes with regards to chargebacks
Accountable for the achievement of key strategic goals
Responsible for continuous improvement activities by developing and implementing efficiencies within the department that will add value to the process. Participate and facilitate lean initiatives such as shift start up meetings
To understand and have a strong knowledge of department policies and procedures as they pertain to the job function
REQUIRED
1. 1-3 years experience in collections or customer service related functions
2. Familiarity with ERP system
3. Strong analytical/problem solving skills
4. Solid communication and interpersonal skills
5. Superior customer service skills
5.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
