Employee is responsible for dismantling, cleaning, sanitizing, and returning to production any and all sanitary food processing equipment as needed. Also, the employee will clean and upkeep the surrounding areas and complete Period Cleaning tasks assigned by Supervisor or Team Lead. Employee will fill out proper documentation for verification that the cleaning has been completed. Overall, job placement is dependant on skill and ability and staffing needs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Lift 50 pounds.
Able to reach above shoulders.
Able to climb a ladder.
Able to stoop, kneel, bend, twist, and crouch occasionally.
Able to work a minimum of every Friday and Saturday night.
Able to work overtime if required.
Able to work in areas that contain dust and starch particles.
Able to work in hot and humid conditions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follow procedures for the dismantling, cleaning, and reassembly of kettles, pumps, pipes, valves, screens, drums, hill tables, belts, sifters, dryers, wrap machines, tri-paks, packers, fillers, rotoclones, hoppers, hoses, tunnels, coils, drains, blenders, color tanks, starch ducts, knock out room, run metal wash, extruders, overheads, and fans.
Able to perform basic general cleaning (i.e. walls, floor, shoveling starch, and other periodic cleaning).
Responsible for filling out the proper documentation for verification that the cleaning has been completed.
Follow all Lock-out/Tag-out procedures and policies.
Must be able to work as a team member.
Communicate any issue or concerns to Supervisor/Team Lead.
Report all safety concerns and/or potential hazards to Supervisor/ Lead Team.
Attend to any duties assigned by Supervisor/Team Lead.
Must be able to complete any required sanitation verifications, maintain a minimum of a basic understanding of sanitation chemicals and operate PIT equipment.
Must be able to work in confined spaces when necessary.
