Director of Biomaterials Innovation (Biodegradable Polymers) - $150-160K + Bonus - Biodegradable Polymers Manufacturing (PLGA Polymers used in Control Released Pharmaceuticals) - Global leadership of corporate and customer projects involving development and manufacture of Control Release polymeric biomaterials used in pharmaceuticals. Development of optimized or new products for parenteral applications of biomaterials. Development of optimized or new processes for manufacture of biomaterials.
• Safeguarding sustainable and economic access to raw materials and intermediates. Development and manufacture of individual biomaterials for customers. Assessment and comparison of own biomaterials against competitor products. Responsible for directing the activities of the Biomaterials Development Labs. This position is also responsible for interactions with other departments, in order to coordinate project activities encompassing proprietary and customer biomaterials development and manufacturing projects. This position is also responsible for supporting corporate goals such as decisions and policies with respect to: staffing, safety, quality, marketing and business development.
PhD in Polymer Chemistry - MUST have biodegradable polymers experience. 10+ years experience in the field of polymeric biomaterials development/manufacture. Skilled and experienced in global management of proprietary and customer development projects. Ability to direct and lead large technical teams. Ability to support project managers as they lead project teams. Ability to interact with internal and external customers, including preparation of reports and presentations.
