Technical/Functional Skills -MUST HAVE SKILLS • Serve as a subject matter expert in metadata management and data Quality practices.
• • Performs in-depth metadata analysis on large datasets or logs; troubleshoots issues related to metadata mapping and transformations.
• • Ability to capture and import metadata from different systems and link them to produce desired data lineage
• • Conduct source system analysis, and data profiling using informatica IDQ
• • Provide ongoing support for Metadata Implementation, testing and integration and create needed templates for structuring metadata.
• • Create Business Glossaries within informatica Metadata Manager.
• • Collaborate with data integration, data architecture, business intelligence and business units to develop and deliver Metadata solutions.
• Strong data profiling skills
• Good experience in Informatica Data Quality tool.
• Strong data analysis skills
• Data Governance knowledge.
• Strong SQL Server 2008 querying skills
• Hands-on expertise required with Informatica tools and utilities such as Data Controls, Data Director and Data Quality
• Extensive knowledge and experience in defining Master Data Management strategies, implementing MDM services and capabilities, Metadata Management, Data Governance, and Data Quality solutions
• Familiarity with enterprise data integration technologies and methods such as ETL, data replication, and data services
• Experience with enterprise level data analysis and integration work and/or providing data focused systems integration solutions
• Demonstrated business acumen and the ability to apply technology solutions to solve business problems
• Integration to ETL & IDQ tools
• Adoption of IDQ and implementing on Data Governance tools
• Mentoring ETL developers
Secondary Skills • Good Communication and presentation skills
Roles & Responsibilities • Create Data profiling jobs in IDQ
• Creating Rules in IDQ.
• Create Informatica mappings in Developer and PowerCenter.
• To determine the root cause of data quality issues
• To report on an ad-hoc basis to senior management
Banking experience preferred
• Solid technical background and experience importing metadata from heterogeneous metadata sources
• Hands on experience with Informatica Metadata Manager, Informatica Analyst
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong leadership & influencing skills
• Solid working experience in databases, client software, i.e. MS SQL, Oracle and writing advanced SQL scripts
• Deep understanding of Data Modeling and Data Mapping
• Proven project management, time management, and conflict resolution/management skills
• Extensive knowledge in Master Data Management and experience in Data Quality process
