Job description
Provide accurate assessment, diagnosis, prescription and treatment of common family illness
Provide screenings, interventions, counselling and prescribe medications to patients.
Help patients manage their well-being with vaccinations and patient education
Ensure patient information, visit history, refer outs, lab follow-up, phone calls, and consults are carefully and completely documented in the EMR
Daily use of computer, software programs (EMR), printer, scanner, and credit/debit card equipment
Perform non-clinical tasks as required (e.g. reporting, vaccination temperature management, maintain clinic appearance
Identify opportunities within local communities for development of outreach activities
Develop a close working relationship with store manager and pharmacist at the clinic location
Complete financial responsibilities pertaining to customer payments
Requirements/Qualifications
Master’s Degree level Family Nurse Practitioner program
Current National Board Certification
State of Employment license to practice as Advanced Practice Nurse
Outstanding organization skills and ability to multi-task
Initiative, creativity, problem-solving ability, adaptability, and flexibility
Ability to collaborate with professional colleagues as necessary to provide quality care
Ability to work without direct supervision and practice autonomously
Effective verbal, written, and electronic communication skills
Ability to consistently present a friendly, welcoming, and professional public-facing appearance

Successful candidates will be responsible for providing comprehensive for patients with systematic assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management and follow up in accordance with TNPA & MHHS standards of care.
Key Functions
Function as an integral part of an interdisciplinary team, carry out assessment and provide therapeutic management of patient needs in accordance with regulations, policy and clinical pathways.
Obtains medical histories; performs physical examinations; reviews diagnostic and radiographic results, manage treatment plans provides interventions.
Participates in the development and evaluation of patient care, updates clinical protocols/ pathways.
Collaborates in research and teaching projects and applies same to practice.
Use communication & interpersonal skills to educate patient/family on care and resources.
Ensures safe care to patients adhering to policies, procedures, and standards of care, within budgetary specifications, including time management, supply management and accuracy of clinical practice.
Meet requirements for mandatory continuing education, and expanding current knowledge base, for professional growth & development

Requirements/Qualifications
Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner Program approved by the State of Texas.
Current license to practice professional nursing for the state of Texas.
Certification by the American Nurse Credentialing Center or National Certification Center in area of specialty; certified in Basic Life Support.
Two years clinical nursing experience in area of intended practice
