Quality Assurance Engineer - $68-76K range Automotive Components Manufacturing - Create, improve, implement and maintain systems that will assure the quality and traceability of the incoming materials and final products. Work in the manufacturing process and with final products from the various product lines. Create (or improve), implement and maintain process control systems. Create (or improve), implement and maintain off-line testing programs. Investigate customer complaints and communicate the results to management and customers as necessary. Perform root cause analysis for quality issues and complaints. Plan, organize and complete PPAP submission packages to automotive OEMs. Analyze and present statistical information to management and customers. Organize and lead customer surveys. Investigate and implement solutions to manufacturing and/or system problems. Support efforts in the creation, implementation and maintenance of ISO 9000 and QS 9000 systems. Provide the appropriate support in the creation of product certification. Working knowledge of SPC, control plans, PFMEA, MSA and other automotive certification requirements. Be versed in mistake proofing techniques, defect elimination and 8D processes. Familiar with 5S program.
BS degree in engineering or technical degree. Demonstrated quality engineering experience (i.e. held QA Engineer job, QA Manager, CQE/CQM certified). 2-4 years quality related engineering experience including a working knowledge of ISO 9000 and statistical process control (SPC). Automotive quality systems and ISO/TS 16949 knowledge and experience a plus.
