Company is a leading global outsource provider of design and manufacturing services to the medical device and diagnostics, drug delivery and commercial markets.
Responsibilities of the Program Manager - Medical Device.
Lead project teams, utilizing PDP, AQP and other established engineering processes to successfully develop and transition programs from concept development through commercialization. These developmental medical device and pharma delivery system programs may include maintaining the Design History File (DHF).
Function as the single point of contact for the customer and all involved facilities, providing program leadership to create a seamless customer experience during development and commercialization phases.
Build customer relationships and promote the value proposition (e.g., complete services from concept development to commercialization) to new and existing customers.
Monitor, control, and communicate overall program costs, timing, and deliverables.
Ensure sufficient resources are identified and allocated to the program from both a company and customer perspective.
Manage project scope, and coordinate proposals for additional services when scope change occurs.
Function as a core team member for the development and maintenance of the Program Management Office (PMO).
Generate excitement and communicate the "big picture" to all involved facilities - i.e., how the customer views the company, what the customer means to us in terms of sales and growth, the number of ongoing and future programs, the impact of a facility's actions on other facilities' relationships with the customer, etc.
Participate in business development issues such as supply agreements, long-term agreements, cost reduction requests, cost sharing requests, pricing negotiations, account reviews, etc
Qualifications - Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience
Minimum of 8 years' experience in contract manufacturing supplying OEMs
Proven project management experience; PMP preferred but not required
Experience working with medical device and pharma OEM customers
Qualifications - Skills & Competencies
Understanding of the product development process, associated terminology, and quality system requirements
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Ability to understand various processes used throughout the company
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, sales, and customers
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Understanding of financial statements and accounting practices and terminology at a project level
Ability to identify problems and develop and implement actions plans to resolve them
Ability to motivate and influence people to achieve customer satisfaction
