Polysomnography Technician needed! Job #1653

Medical Center looking for a Polysomnography Technician to work in the Sleep Lab.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
Successful completion of an AMA approved academic program for respiratory care or completion of neurodiagnostics program required.
Completion of course work in polysomnography preferred.
Current CPR certification
Credentialed or licensed as a Registered Polysomnographic Technician (RPSGT), a Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (REEGT), Respiratory Care Practioners (CRTT or RRT), or a Registered Nurse (RN)
Must demonstrate the ability to score polysomnographic recordings and have an understanding of interpretative methods.
Should have documented ability to recognize the patterns of polysomnographic variables as they are monitored and recorded enabling the practitioner to differentiate among technical difficulties and occult pathophysiology during polysomnography.
Display a proficiency in interpreting respiratory variables affected by initiation of continuous positive or bi-level positive airway pressure or nocturnalventilatory support and should demonstrate knowledge of normative ranges for such variables as those measured during the monitoring of arterial blood gas, end-tidal CO2, oxygen saturation, respiratory movement, and airflow.
Initiate and titrate supportive therapy for sleep-related respiratory disorders.
Assess the patient's response to therapy.
Recommend modifications to prescribed therapy, as appropriate.
EXPERIENCE: At least one year of prior experience in administering and scoring polysomnographies preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills
