POSITION SUMMARY:
The Home Health Physical Therapist is part of the professional team delivering in-home physical and psychosocial care to clients. The Physical Therapist develops a selected physical therapy program as prescribed by a physician, supervises the program and evaluates the patient's progress. The PT provides direct service and collaborates with other Health Care Team members in the provision of complete patient care to the patients of all ages, with an emphasis on the geriatric population
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate from a physical therapy curriculum approved by the American Physical Therapy Association, the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association or the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association and American Physical Therapy Association
SPECIALIZED TRAINING REQUIRED:
None
LICENSE / CERTIFICATION / REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
Current registration in Washington State to provide physical therapy services
CONTINUING EDUCATION & COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:
Continuing education and/or licensing requirements:
Must attend all required agency and hospital continuing education offerings
Must maintain current PT licensing in Washington State
Must meet state licensing requirement for continuing education.
BLS Certified
Population Specific continuing competency requirements: Special needs of geriatric patients
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Must have at least two (2) years experience in a hospital, clinic, or public health agency

1. Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy progam.
