NATURE OF THE JOB
Basic Purpose & Objective of the Position: Provide a general summary of work performed, including major overall end results and the key means by which the end results are achieved. Give an idea of the general nature, purpose, and levels of skill and responsibility found in the position.
Fabricate a wide variety of replicated optics involving use of polished master, precision alignment tooling and epoxy. Maintain acceptable level of replica optic yield through final inspection, meeting all quality and production standards, while supporting the goals and directives of the company and department. Applies job skills, company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• •Replication processes- Small/Simple substrates through final product
• •Replication Epoxy, including alignment during bonding processes as applicable
• •Replica separation, trimming, cleaning and final preparation for shipment
• •Preparation of substrate, including vapor hone, mask, bake-out, tooling re-processing
• •Preparation of Master optic, including non-destructive cleaning and handling
• •Preparation of Submaster, chemical/mechanical processing, cleaning, fixturing
• •Proper care and use of curing ovens and masters, submasters, in-process replicas
• •Use/maintenance of assembly tooling and use of thermal cycle oven
• •Use of mechanical measurement equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gage blocks
• •Evaluation of cosmetic quality of polished and coated surfaces
• •Maintain accurate daily documentation of replication activity, including computer data base
• •Packaging of replica optics
• Perform visual cosmetic inspections
• Verify optical wavefront using Zygo/ADE MiniFiz interferometer
• Adhere to safety requirements and maintain good housekeeping practices.
• Perform other related duties as required by supervisor
Knowledge & Skills: Describe the minimum proficiencies, technical skills, training, education and/or experience required to perform this job competently.
Education Level: H.S. or GED / Some College
(Required) / (Preferred) 1 AND 0 OR
Years of Experience: 2 to 4

Other Training/Technical Skills/Knowledge:
•Must be able to read/interpret blue prints, schematics, manufacturing processes, and test procedures.
•Familar with the use of Microsoft Excel
•Experience working in clean room environment (class 100, 1000 )
•Able to measure optical wavefront using an interferometer
