Packaging Engineer Growing Durable Goods Manufacturer
Salary $65,000 - $80,000 + Excellent Benefits Program & Paid Relocation

If you have a Bachelor’ degree in Packaging or other Engineering related degree, at least 2 years’ experience as a Packaging Engineer in a manufacturing environment, then apply now. You will primary responsibilities will be:
• Technical design, development, and evaluation of packaging materials
• Maximizing mill efficiency and packaging quality
• Reducing product cost through Material and Vendor Selection, Process Improvements and Automation. Developed new packaging designs and improved old packaging specifications
• Standardizing packaging procedures that will reduce time & increase quality
• Managing packaging projects from concept through implementation
• The design, trial, and purchase returnable and expendable packaging
• Developing an annual budget for customer and supplier packaging projects
• Working directly with customers to design packaging and resolve problems
• Vendor selection for projects
• Identify and track cost reduction projects
• Provide weekly project updates to senior management
Requirements for this Packaging Engineer position:
1. Bachelors degree either in Packaging Engineering or an Engineering related field.
2. At least 2 years of Packaging Engineering experience.
3. Must have manufacturing background.
