A local area company is in need of a purchasing clerk with experience in inventory management, distribution, and industrial processing purchasing.
Job duties to include:
Manage Vendor contacts
Maintain Vendor information database
Speak with vendor sales reps
Gather and manage pricing, terms, and product information
Control and manage inventory parts and warehouse locations
Manage minimum and maximum inventory quantities
Cycle counts, physical counts and verifications
Request quotes from vendors on needed items
Place orders and manage dates for stock and non-stock items
Keep pricing updates current
Control inventory adjustments and corrections
Issue and expedite purchase orders
Manage logistics and negotiate freight terms, conditions of purchase orders, and product returns
