Description:
Mid-sized General Contractor/Construction Manager's Northern VA office needs a Project Engineer who has experience assisting in the management of ground-up, interiors and renovations/additions construction projects from start to completion. Projects are a mix of Multi-Unit/Mixed Use, Commercial and Institutional projects 500K to 12M in size.
The Project Engineer helps and supports the Project Manager and Superintendents on projects that are assigned to them. The PE will work under direct supervision and must be well organized, a team-player and able to adapt to changing conditions and circumstances.
Having exceptional communication and written skills are also very important.
Reviews, tracks and distributes submittals, RFI's and assists with permit process, bid packages and procurement.
Keeps construction schedule updated and monitors subcontractor progress.
Must be extremely competent with all related construction software, have a strong work ethic and be dependable and reliable.
Must have a four year degree in Construction Management/Civil Engineering or equivalent and at least four years of experience working with a mid-large sized GC/CM.
