Baby Shine Academy is a new day care center in Centennial looking for a fun person to work with. Security and safety of children is our top most priority. This new facility is looking for a director to oversee all day to day running of the center while creating the best learning experience to the children. The ideal candidate must be fun to work with.
Most states require child care center directors to complete continuing education courses each year, in addition to other requirements.
-While for many parents, their child's teacher is the primary point of contact in the school, the director often serves as the 'face' of the school, managing communication with parents and the community.
-Develops policies and procedures for the school and communicates them to parents and staff in a firm and clear manner. Primary responsibilities include:
-Enrolling children, processing leads and tours while properly and accurately maintaining staff and children files and ensuring safety at all times.
-Maintains accurate accounting of the center daily/weekly/monthly and generate reports according to the company's standards.
- Works with qualified center staff to develop an appropriate curriculum and ensure that it complies with state and federal requirements.
- He/She must have knowledge of local, state and federal laws regarding safety requirements and inspection and certification procedures, and ensure that the center complies with those requirements.
-Evaluates and purchases equipment and supplies for the center or approves requests to purchase materials and equipment.
-. Hires supervises and manages staff, developing job descriptions, interviewing candidates, maintaining staff development and education and, if necessary, managing disciplinary processes.
-Plans a balanced nutrition to the children.
-The director ensures that all staff meet the requirements for their jobs; for example, the director orders staff background checks and confirms that necessary licenses are valid.
-Motivates staff to maximize collaboration, retention and growth.
-Responsible for maintaining his/her own qualifications
-Responsible for the financial management of the center. This means that he/she develops budgets, manage the accounting and oversee accounts payable and receivable.
-Develops a marketing plan for the center, developing public relations and advertising campaigns as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Must be director certified.
-Proven leadership skills
-1 to 2 years work experience in a licenced center or related field.
-Must have a passion and love for children with excellent people skills.
-Must be enthusiastic, adaptable and reliable.
-Must possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
-Excellent organizational and time management skills.
-Must pass a background test
-Infant/Toddler CPR and First Aid certification within first month of employment
-Must provide an employment health form signed by a physician.
-Proficient in basic computer software e.g word, excel
-Experience in a daycare initial set up/start up is a plus.

Associate or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
