Primary responsibilities is to burn steel plate of various sizes and thickness. NC Burners are required to operate CBC and Plasma Machines and know how to set up each machine. NC Burners must produce quality burn material with no slag or gouges. They will clean all non-complete material and identify all cut material and material returned to stock per company policies and procedures.
• Ability to make sure that Dish heads are at the proper radius.
• Burns and cuts steel according to job specs.
• Programs CNC Machine with steel material size to ensure proper burning.
• Ability to ensure all documentation is complete and accurate in a timely manner.
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand job cards.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
• Ability to perform tasks in a competent manner.
• Ability to operate CNC and Plasma Burning Machine.
• Is certified and demonstrates the ability to safely operate a lift truck up to 40,000 pound lifts capacity.
• Is certified and demonstrates the ability to safely operate and Overhead Crane.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools such as: grinder, hammer, wrench and pry bar.
• Accurately read a tape measure.
• Basic reading, writing, and mathematics skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and written.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment.
