NPCC Area Technology Specialist III
Area Technology Specialist III Responsibilities include but are not limited to: providing evening and weekend Help Desk support troubleshooting and supporting technology related equipment in classrooms, labs, lecture halls and community areas of MPCC. Support all users with the use of technology including software, information systems, network connectivity and personal devices as they relate to education. Responsible for start-up, setup, support, tear down the multimedia and computer related devices used for classes, concerts, etc.
About us: Mid-Plains Community College, a legislatively designated 18-county district in West-Central Nebraska, is a comprehensive, open access, public, two-year community college system that offers associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates. MPCC consists of three main campuses, one located in McCook, Nebraska and two located in North Platte, Nebraska. Additionally, there are extended campus sites in Broken Bow, Imperial, Ogallala and Valentine with satellite classrooms located throughout the Area. North Platte Community College is located in North Platte, Nebraska, a city of approximately 24,000 in rural southwestern Nebraska along the I-80 corridor.
Qualifications: Associate Degree in a computer or network field or a related discipline is preferred, while a combination of postsecondary education and work experience is required. The ideal candidate will have experience in computer troubleshooting and network technologies, audio, video and other classroom specific technology. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills relating to customer service and advanced computer skills pertaining to end user support.
