VICE PRESIDENT OF INTERNATIONAL SPONSORSHIP SALES
Position Overview:
The Vice President of International Sponsorship Sales leads international revenue generation through the selling of fully integrated corporate partnerships for the governing body of a major sports league. This position is responsible for building relationships with major corporations and securing sponsorships globally, with a specific emphasis on LATAM and EMEA. This VP is the face of the organization to existing and prospective international partners.
Responsibilities:
• Drives global revenue growth through the creation of sellable marketing partnerships.
• Oversees international agency partners who serve as the external sales team.
• Negotiates and closes new agency business across global assets.
• Supports renewal process for partner contracts and identifies/pursues additional revenue opportunities.
• Oversees transfer of the partnership programs to the Partnership Activations group to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Manages entire internal and external sales process while reporting and updating executive team on a regular basis.
• Cultivates relationships with agencies through contact with the media, account, and planning teams.
• Maintains knowledge of industry trends, activation best practices, and new media marketing efforts.
• Analyzes client needs and budgets, presenting unique value propositions using all inventories.
Requirements:
• 10+ years of sales experience at a media provider, agency, team, or league-based sponsorship sales group within the sports industry.
• Direct working knowledge of major international markets (ie. EMEA, LATAM, APAC).
• Experience managing the development and implementation of partnership marketing strategy.
• Experience with marketing platform integration (broadcast, digital, event, hospitality, etc.), onsite event marketing operations and logistics preferred.
• Significant track record conducting business at the C-Suite.
• Willingness to travel internationally 70%+ of the time.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work while working independently.
