Our Plymouth, MI customer is seeking 2 experienced Connected Vehicle (V2X) System Development Engineers for a direct hire position at an open salary range. Relocation is available. Sponsorship is NOT AVAILABLE. Will NOT consider fresh-out graduates, entry-level or candidates with less than 3 years' experience.
Responsibilities:
• Monthly investigation into new technologies, strategies, and methods in the V2X field. Produce regular reports to update the team and leadership on emerging technologies and trends.
• Design and develop V2X concepts for quality assurance, interoperability, and standards compliance. Fully use available internal and external resources, such as University of Michigan’s Mobility Transformation Center (MTC)
• Field test concepts at MTC in coordination with the company’s teams in the US and China. Ensure know-how sharing among all development partners.
• Find, incorporate and manage external suppliers within our V2X development process
Requirements:
• Bachelor degree or above in Mechanic Engineering / Electronics Engineering
• 3 years or more experience in a relevant field
• Acquainted with the software and hardware structure of V2X and ADAS, performance measurement metrics. Knowledgeable on the current development status of V2X industry
• Acquainted with V2X policies and laws in major global automotive markets
• Working knowledge of WAVE Protocol Stack specifications: IEEE 1609, IEEE 802.11p, SAE J2735, etc.
• Analytical; proven experience in translating strategies into actionable plans
• Capable of handling multiples projects, initiatives simultaneously and executing to completion
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Team oriented
• Bilingual (English & Chinese) is a plus
