Byrnes & Rupkey, Inc. has an opportunity for a Reliability Engineer in the Fayetteville, NC area. This position is a direct hire for a successful and innovative company.
Responsibilities:
• Providing technical expertise on reliability engineering, mechanical integrity, and Quality Assurance for all process equipment;
• Performing failure mode and effect analysis to develop equipment maintenance plans and predictive preventative maintenance (PPM);
• Performing PPM effectiveness assessments;
• Maximizing equipment reliability by using tools such as SAP, Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Risk Based Inspections (RBI), RCFA, PM Plan optimizations, equipment history analysis, failure predictions, etc.;
• Analyzing equipment trends, historical data, and Uptime data to recommend and justify improvements;
• Standardizing procedures, equipment, operations;
• Participating in maintenance and reliability networks, continuing education, professional organizations, and reliability conferences.
Education: 4-year engineering degree required; Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, etc.
Required Skills:
• 2+ years of reliability work experience;
• Six Sigma certified Black Belt or Green Belt;
• Data analysis, statistical interpretation skills, failure analysis and preservation of evidence techniques;
• Maintenance and reliability best practices and work management process;
• Rotating equipment and alignment, lubrication, tribology, oil analysis interpretation;
• Basic Materials Science, Vibration analysis and interpretation;
• Uptime metric and Upbase software;
• RCFA, FMEA, Cost/Capital analysis and justification.
