Byrnes & Rupkey, Inc. has an opportunity for an Electronics Development Manager in the Farmington Hills, MI area. This position is a direct hire for a successful and innovative company.
Responsibilities:
• Providing leadership, mentoring and supervision of the Electronics Development staff;
• Ensuring that the electronics development group provides timely support on new product launches;
• Managing the testing and evaluation of prototype and pre-prototype hardware;
• Recommending design changes based on testing;
• Overseeing feasibility studies and engineering analysis;
• Providing expertise in electronics to other departments;
• Assisting sales, purchasing and warranty departments;
• Managing the departmental budget and operations.
Education: 4-year degree required; Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
Required Skills:
• 8+ years of experience in electronic technology development, including 3+ years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role;
• Experience in electronics development within automotive parts manufacturing preferred;
• Knowledge and understanding of testing methods, data analysis, problem solving methods;
• Project management, planning and organizational skills;
• Proficiency in MS Office and Unigraphics design software;
• Leadership, coaching, interpersonal and communication skills.
