Our client is seeking a Development Operations Engineer who will design, build, deploy and operate the infrastucture to a delivery performance mgt system. The Ideal candidate will be a self starter who enjoys a fast paced Agile Environment and thrives on problem solving, is committed to delivering exceptional results and excels at bridging the worlds of software development and systems management. This person will proactively work with Engineering, product and project mgt, IT, Support and other functional depts to develop and operate performance mgt systems in a Microsoft Environment.
Job Responsibilites:
Proactively collaborate with developers to bring new features and service into production
Develop, improve, and maintain the build, validation, automated testing, deployment, monitoring, and mangament infrasturcture
Monitor and tune the performance of various system components
Investigate and remedy production issues
Develop and improve operational tools and procedures
Expand production analytics in nthe cloud based offering of our products
Use a wide variety of technologies, wear lots of hats
Required Skills and Experience:
must have 4+ years of experience working with Development and operations
ability to code and script in C# and Powershell
Experince with Systems Mgt in Windows server, ASP.NET, and MS SQL server environment
Stong grasp of Automation tools, such as Octopus Deploy
Familialry with Build mgt and continous integration tools- exp with TEAM CITY preferred
Release Automation, system admin, system config, and system debugging exp required
Working experience in cloud management technologies such as Amazon Web Services and Microsoft AZURE
Working knowledge of the following is plus
Advanced Powershell scripting
.NET /C#,
basic understanding of database architecture
SQL
Deployment mgt, including monitoring and automation
Chocolatey NuGet
Octopus Deploy
Microsoft system center- including operations manager, orchestrator, virtual machine manager, configuration manager
