Position : Engineering Technician
Location : Franklin Lakes NJ
Duration : 6+ Months Contract
Start Time : 8:00 AM
End Time : 5:00 PM
Total Hours/week : 40.00

Qualifications:
• Understanding of product design, testing methods and validation protocols.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an R&D Laboratory environment, with a least 1 year performing functional tests
• Experience with Excel and Word is required
• Testing experience a must.
• The equipment includes mechanical testing apparatus, such as tensile testers (e.g., Instron), and impact testers.
• Tests including but not limited to package burst test and vibration
• The ability to organize and present large amounts of data in a clear and concise manner is required.
• Must adapt rapidly to changing work assignments.

Responsibilities:
• May regularly perform technical assignments which would include obtaining and preparing samples, functional testing, evaluation of product quality, analysis of results, and assistance in the generation of final technical report.
• Must be aware of and follow Corporate and Divisional Quality systems and comply with all regulatory and safety guidelines.
• Participate in coordinated investigations and assignments with daily supervision.
• Assist other Technicians or Engineers to develop experimental protocols and procedures
• Collect and prepare samples
• Make standard observations and perform standard tests according to documented procedures
• Perform simple data analysis
• Assist other Technicians or Engineers to develop conclusions from experimental work
• Document these results and assist the preparation of technical reports or presentations of experimental work product.
• Must maintain laboratory notebooks in accordance with GLPs
• Transfer data from lab notebooks or approved data collection sheets to appropriate computer software for storage and analysis.
• May be required to evaluate new testing equipment. Participate in the verification and validation of equipment performance.
• Record time and help with prioritization and improvement activities
• May need to interface directly with appropriate R&D, QA, core team, and manufacturing personnel on the status and findings of investigations performed in the laboratory.
• Must exhibit high initiative in communicating significant findings of evaluations performed.
