Engineering Project Manager
We are a leading international design-build-install manufacturer of industrial processing equipment for, food, chemical, and associated industries, specializing in pressure vessel, meat rendering equipment, hydrolyzing process and food process equipment/systems
Job Duties:
* Project Entry into project folders. Information on customer deposits to be forwarded
by accounting.
* Contact accounting to arrange shipping and payment duties to be scheduled
with customer. Contact accounting with updates on shipping schedules to
initiate payment request and begin shipping details.
* PO requests or requisitions to be generated by project engineers. If quotes
are received by engineers, lead-time for product will be passed on with requisition.
Responsibility for follow-up is the responsibility of the project manager, and upon
request, the purchasing manager.
* Project Schedule, PO requests, detailed equipment list to be sent to
purchasing manager for processing project inventory schedule.
* Component list for project equipment to be sent to purchasing manager before
any purchasing begins.
* Attend weekly meeting with production manager and purchasing to review
projects’ status.
* Any changes in the equipment or customer’s shipping status must be relayed to
the purchasing manager who will revise scheduling with production foreman.
Submit project deadlines to Purchasing Manager for stock inventory and project orders.
* Compile final assembly list from stock machinery for Purchasing Manager to use
as reference checklist on project chart.
* Budget responsibility which includes a prudent endeavor to maintain
project profitability, timely invoicing, and alerts to senior management of significant
variances
* Accomplishes communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and
reviewing job details to customer
* Achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to
strategic plans and reviews of the project layout; implementing production, productivity,
quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems
BSME/Chem E required with 10 yrs Project-Process experience
