Process Safety Leader Chemical Plant Safety Specialist
YOU MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN A CHEMICAL PROCESS TYPE INDUSTRY.
Example: Specialty Chemicals, Pulp & Paper, Refinery, Plastics, etc.
Client is seeking Key Contributor for High Profile role.
SALARY: $90,000 - $125,000 Plus Bonus & Excellent Benefits & Relocation Programs
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Subject matter expert in Chemical Process Safety and H&S Standards, Best Practices and Policies
• Provide leadership and direction to achieve zero PSM incidents or H&S accidents through management commitment and employee ownership
• Organize and facilitate Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs)
• Compliance leader for the Management of Change (MOC) process
• Maintain tracking systems for open PHA, PSSR and MOC action items to ensure timely resolution
• Ensures the development, improvement, and implementation of Process Safety training requirements.
• Monitor and ensure employee compliance for safety training requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Masters in Engineering
• P.E.
• CSP
LOCATION: This plant level engineering position is based in the Southeast US access to southern charm in country or city living, access to great outdoor activities, concerts, dining, shopping, quality sports & education.
REQUIREMENTS:
• BS in Chemical Engineering or Occupational Safety & Health, Industrial Hygiene
• Three+ years PSM as a Manager or 5+ years as a PSM Engineer within the chemical industry
• Working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910.119 Process Safety Management
• Working knowledge of EPA 40 CFR Part 68 Risk Management Programs.
• Experience conducting data analysis and root cause analysis using various programs
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Candidates must have the right to work for any employer in the U.S.
