Our client, in the Pharmaceutical Industry located in Spring Valley, NY is in need of 3-5 Packaging Line Mechanics for the 2nd shift. (3PM-11:30 PM)
Summary Set-up, troubleshoot and maintain all equipment in the Packaging Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
* Set-up equipment according to Packaging Department SOPs and cGMPs.
* Troubleshoot and fine tune Packaging equipment to ensure that equipment meets production standards.
* Conduct preventive maintenance on Packaging equipment in accordance with schedules.
* Train new and existing employees on Packaging equipment and procedures.
* Maintain general housekeeping according to cGMP regulations.
* Maintain inventory supplies, such as glue, parts, tools, etc.
* Install new Packaging equipment.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively in one-on-one and small groups within the department.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Excellent communication skills including the ability to speak clearly, listen and gain clarification, and respond well to questions.
Other Qualifications
Previous pharmaceutical industry/cGMP experience is preferred. Completion of a technical or mechanical trade school or apprenticeship program is preferred.
