Project Manager II for purchased (OEM) and manufactured products. Overall coordination of new product projects between Marketing and Development to drive successful implementation of the overall product strategy. The Project Manager II is responsible for optimizing the product offering in order to best consider all relevant business requirements (cost, quality, investment, schedule, manufacturability, innovation, as well as risk). The Project Manager II will also serve as the Project Leader for projects prior to approval of the Project Application in order to ensure these requirements are adequately incorporated into the project. The Project Manager II is also responsible for communication and coordination between all relevant Product relevant stakeholders.

Reporting Structure:
Reports to the Manager of Product Development Cooking Products North America
Job Functions: (Major duties and/or responsibilities to be performed which account for more than 10% of the job or are critical to the successful performance of the job.
• Specialist in Technical Product Management processes and strategy with the ability to train and further develop existing systems
• Multi-site responsibility
• Interface and coordination between Product Marketing, Product Development, Project Management, Industrial Design, Factory, Project Controlling and Product Management.
• Support the Director of Product Management in the successful preparation of product strategy, road-mapping, and innovations management including alignment of the US roadmap with the global roadmap.
• Prepare project applications for new product projects (PARs)
• Present new product ideas and concepts to upper management by using strong presentation and negotiation skills.
• Coordinate product program definition and product specifications (x-list) for all relevant US cooking products (domestic and export) in close coordination with Marketing and Development.
• Clarify timelines, feature sets, resources needed, cost targets and sales start for product projects.
• Maintenance of appliance master product data within corporate systems (SAP-CMD-AP).
• Preparation of product front shots and line drawings
• Coordinate Variant Applications (VAs) and project calculations for ongoing product projects.
• Ongoing variant controlling as well as phase-in/ phase-out coordination within the operation Production Systems including the monitoring of the sales status in CMD-AP.
• Operationally responsibility for the OEM business / Project Management of OEM projects for products produced in North America.
• Prepare training for sales team with product training, argumentation points, and other relevant sales information.
• Tracking of product development milestones (timing, costs, targets) during projects prior to approval of the project application.
• Preparation of project reporting for regular internal meetings (Engineering/ Marketing Workshop (EMW), Cooking Division (PCG) project reporting (PRM/QuPR, etc.).
• Ongoing support for Marketing, Sales, Development questions and requests.
• Monitoring of competition, market trends and preparation of ideas for future product launches.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
Job Qualification Requirements: Masters Degree in Business Administration preferred.
Bachelors Degree in Engineering (BSME/EE/ OR TECHNICAL
Must be team oriented and flexible.
Must have good communication and negotiation skills.
Must be able to travel internationally.
Proficiency with Microsoft products, especially Power Point and Excel.
SAP, MS Word and MS Project experience preferred.
Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision, handle multiple tasks and be prompt in meeting deadlines.
Any of the above requirements/qualifications may be waived for the successful candidate.
Knowledge:
Bi-lingual (English/German), Spanish, French, a plus.
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate with a wide variety of people up to and including upper management.
Negotiation skills.
Must be able to work well with people in other departments under difficult and sometimes stressful circumstances.
Knowledge of Product Development processes.

Experience:
Strategic product planning experience (road-mapping)
Strategic scenario evaluation based on multiple disciplines (Controlling, Engineering, Manufacturing, ID, etc )
Project leadership experience
Project controlling experience
Product marketing experience preferred
Experience in Project Management of Product Development projects preferred
Experience in Product Specification processes
Experience with cost evaluation
