IT Testing Manager (long term contract position - please note, we are unable to work on a C2C basis for this position) Position in Greensboro NC and also available in Wilson, NC.
Typical Duties
• Primary liaison between the Project Office and the involved IT Line of Businesses as it relates to the quality and testing activities for projects.
• Engages the QA analysts as their primary communication and coordination connections to all IT Line of Businesses.
• Focuses horizontally across the IT Line of Businesses spectrum and ensures the total test effort is properly coordinated and integrated to address project testing and quality goals.
• Verify high level design documents are in the appropriate repository.
• Liaise with Onshore/Offshore Test Analyst/Lead to get the status of offshore activities.
• Determine test types to be performed and act as liaison with teams that execute performance, network bandwidth and penetration / vulnerability testing for support.
• Works with the QA Analysts to develop the Master Test Plan for the project.
• Monitors the progress of SIT and UAT testing activities including planned integration testing. Works with test teams to help plan and coordinate the end to end integration test plans.
• Mentors QA Analyst on the expectations of test case development instructions for Test Analyst and Testers.
• Conducts Test Status meetings as needed during testing levels (SIT and UAT).
• Interact with Development Lead in exchanging status and resolving all concerns and issues.
• Responsible for Defect Management.
• Delivery Tracking for Testing. Provide status and resolve all concerns and issues with Project manager.
• Review Metrics gathering. Review test results from SIT and UAT with end-users including procedures for tracking and root cause analysis.
• Produces Test Summary Reports at the end of testing. Doc revisions to ETS Testing Proc.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
Experience
Typically has more than 10 years of QA/Testing systems for IT systems and products with management, supervisory or leadership experience. Banking experience required. Commercial lending experience is a plus.
Breadth
• Middle level management in quality assurance/IT functions.
• Have experience in developing and conducting test processes for multiple types of systems, client users and/or units across an organization.
• Work under general direction of senior level management.
• Typically manages and mentors supervisors, project leaders and/or technical staff.
• Acts as a project leader and a subject matter expert on multiple and complex projects.
• Excellent communication skills verbal and written.
• Ability to motivate others.
• Ability to provide reporting and metrics
