Thomson & Reuters Top 50 Cardiothoracic Surgery program seeks a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. Our program offers a wide variety of surgical cases utilizing cutting-edge techniques and technology. Responsibilities include: intra-operative care, pre- and post-operative care, patient management, outpatient clinic, ICU responsibilities, chest tube placement and removal, CVP & A Line placement and removal, first assisting, vein harvesting.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in first assisting and endoscopic vein harvesting. Surgical critical care/OR responsibilities Endoscopic vein harvesting.
Collaborates with physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients and orders appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures.
Analyze data to determine diagnosis and therapeutic plan.
Follow-up with patients through hospital course and preparation of discharge summaries and orders.
Evaluation and follow-up of patients included in various clinical trials and protocols.
