Program Manager -Aern
Assists the Program Manager on each assigned program from award to one year after Job #1. Assists the Program Manager in the delivery of each program, both prototype and production, on budget, on time, and meets or exceeds customer quality expectations. Completes tasks assigned by the Program manager in a timely manner. Develops knowledge and experience in platform management, in order to assume Program Manager responsibilities. Product Manager is the main contact with customer. Develop relationship with the customer and keep flow of information in an organized and understandable manner.
After 1 year as Product Manager will transition to the CAD/Change Management role in the plant where the project will be launched with similar responsibilities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PRODUCT MANAGER (SEPT.2015-SEPT.2016)
1. Ownership of the bill of materials (BOM), ensuring the product delivered to the customer meets the technical specification at its latest level.
2. Coordinate feasibility and implementation of engineering changes. Manager engineering changes through the ERC / ECO process.
3. Actively participate and contribute to the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) effort.
4. Assist in the delivery of each program at the quoted engineering change level; both prototype and production, on budget, on time, at quoted rates, and meets or exceeds customer quality expectations
5. Manage and resolve program assignments and open issues in a timely manner, utilizing the program open issues matrix.
6. Assume and support the PM’s commitment to meet all objectives and measurable from award to successful launch, including ECR metric reporting.
7. Support the manufacturing plant where the program will run. Interface and provide necessary support for customer program launch efforts.
8. Ensure program file structure is maintained per specified requirements.
9. Provide timely communication of program information to all team members.
10. Perform additional related activities as necessary.
CAD/CHANGE MANAGEMENT (from OCT.2016 on)
1. Same as Product Manager Duties and Responsibilities #1, 2, 3 and 10.
2. Support the manufacturing plant in any issue related to product, BOM and Engineering Levels.
3. Support the continuous improvement process within the plant.
4. Support in the launch of new projects.
5. Support the internal Quality system (ISO-TS 16949).
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or 1 3 years automotive industry experience.
2. Stamping or assembly experience preferred.
