Job Description
Our financially stable growing client is looking to add a new team member to their Quality Department.
The ideal Quality Engineer will use their experience and quality skills to create, maintain and optimize all processes that control the quality of all systems, processes and standard procedures related to their manufacturing processes within their facility.
The responsibilities of the Quality Engineer will include:
Maintain all components of the ISO quality system that is in place while focusing on the company quality standards and goals.
Assist with developing new quality standards which will include any new processes, standard procedures and keeping of records that are key to meeting customer and supplier needs.
Lead the creation and maintenance of all required documents pertaining to PPAP, ISIR, 8D for customers and suppliers.
Initiate and develop all FMEA and control plan documents for PPAP submission.
Be the Company point person when there is an audit of the quality system.
Perform all internal and external quality audits to assure that company is in compliance with all customers and/or third parties.
Work with Production Department to perform studies that assess the capabilities of the manufacturing team and monitor their effectiveness.
Provide corrective action when non compliance is found in any lab testing and/or audits.
Provide strong technical advice.
Educational and experience requirements of the Quality Engineer
8 plus years of Quality related or Engineering work within a Manufacturing plant.
Automotive, plastic, rubber or similar industry experience is preferred.
MBA is a plus.
Must have an ability to speak technically to all levels of the organization.
Must want to move up within the company.
Must Haves
strong SPS and Quality systems experience. Plastic, rubber or Automotive experience helps
