As a Product Manager Public Sector reporting to their Lead Product Manager Server and team member of their dynamic products team, you will have a direct impact on the success of our sales and development organizations. The position will be based anywhere within the United States, though ideally in Newton, Massachusetts if possible (though location will not be the ultimate determining factor for the right candidate for this role).
Your Responsibilities:
• Public Sector / United States Federal Government Product Champion for their Business Intelligence SW product.
• Product Analysis & Enhancement: Acting as a translation layer between the customer’s requirements and product design. Listening to the customer’s real needs, and translating them into requirements which Engineering can code into software.
• A key member of the product management team driving features for the Public Sector.
• Product Literature: Ensuring that the product’s features and benefits are appropriately represented in product materials.
• Training/Documentation Review/Content: Reviewing training and documentation materials, and ensuring they accurately reflect and position enhancements in the product. Responsible for educating the organization on security and deployment related topics
• Customer/Sales Engagements: Supporting the adoption of their software products in the marketplace by assisting with sales and deployments to stay abreast of the customer’s needs and requirements.
• Excellent relationship building skills that drive and maintain good relationships with the sales force.
• The ability to identify and translate potential new and innovative product features by analyzing information gained from analysts, customers and the Business Intelligence market in general.
• Communicating the product roadmap.
• Liaising with 3rd Party technology partners.
Must Haves
• University degree
• At least 5 years hands-on product experience within the DoD / Public Sector / United States Federal Government industry ideally based on business intelligence software products understanding the unique requirements for this vertical industry
• Background in business analysis / product management involving field research, interviews and product evaluations
• Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts ability to quickly grasp the software product line you will be working with
• Creative and open-minded
• Ability to work well with others in a high-pressure environment
• Excellent communication, listening, presentation and writing skills
• Excellent verbal and written English skills as the company language is English
• Self-motivated and good at taking initiative
• Willing to travel approximately up to 50% per month
