Position: Electrical & Instrumental Technician

Our client is seeking a dedicated individual who will perform general housekeeping, inspections, preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical and instrumentation equipment and documentation.
This individual will work on a rotating on-call schedule to support plant operations during equipment breakdowns.
This individual will inspect, repair and/or replace electrical control circuits, variable speed controllers, plant lighting, and switchgear 13.8 KV and lower.
Responsibilities include :
* Troubleshooting and repairing electrical component malfunctions on plant equipment and control emission monitoring system (CEMS)
* Troubleshooting and repairing relays and turbine generator exciter using associated logic.
* Performing corrective maintenance on cranes, motors, conveyors, fans, and variable frequency drives is required.
*This candidate is responsible for terminating electric motors 4160 and lower, installing conduit, tubing and wiring for new installations and repairs to existing installations.
* Performing preventive maintenance on all plant electrical equipment is essential. * Completing required documentation for work to be done and accomplished is a must.
The successful candidate should be able to take readings using multi-meter, megger and oscilloscope; read and utilize programmable logic controller (PLC) logic, and motor control wiring.
Specific duties include:
Reading, interpreting and utilizing stores catalog and equipment manuals for technical clarification and requisitioning parts and material.
*Will operate computer to access maintenance management program for equipment history and work order and review both corrective and preventive.
Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Two to four years related experience and/or training as Journeyman Electrician in industrial setting.
