We are looking for full time and/or part time machine tool operators to join our company for first shift(days). Job Responsibilities include:
* Calculate dimensions and tolerances using instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers.
* Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, drills or grinders.
* Measure, examine and test completed units to ensure conformance to specifications.
* Set up, adjust and operate basic machine tools and some specialized or advanced variation tools to perform machining operations.
* Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials onto machines.
* Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
* Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings and engineering information to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products and determine production dimensions and tolerances.
* Layout, measure and mark metal stock in order to display placement of cuts.
* Program computers on numerically controlled machine tools.
* Must be mathematically skilled and able to read and follow blueprints.
* Welding experience useful, but not required.
