Job Functions:
Responsible for logging, depositing and balancing monies received from Ford Motor Company Hourly employee, retiree and surviving spouse population for continuation of life insurance coverage’s. Cashier also handles all transactions relating to the Optional Life Insurance Plan which includes adding, decreasing or cancelling coverage, changing beneficiaries, mailing correspondence relating to plan or rate changes.

Logs all checks received
Photo copy all checks on check transmittal form.Handle all lock-box activities related to billings and checksPrepare, perform and balance Daily DepositPost payment to Mainframe and update Insured’s payment history on Data BaseDetermine Eligibility for coverage continuationCalculate refunds and prepare refund check requestsProvide Customer Service including answering phone calls, responding to correspondence and invoicingKeeps abreast of Eligibility and Plan requirementsAssist on Special Projects within the Department when needed

Required Skills:
Outstanding Customer Service/Communication Skills both oral and writtenKnowledge of Accounting functionsSkilled in MicroSoft Office & Access DatabasesAdept at establishing priorities and meeting deadlinesSelf sufficient with handling obstacles and being able to resolve situationsKnowledge of Ford Motor Company/UAW Life Insurance Programs and Provisions
BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. One or more years of recent Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable experience required. High volume call center experience preferred.
