SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Sales Representative for our leading manufacturing client in the North East Region of the United States to join their growing team. This person could live in Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine. This role would be a combination of both new and existing business.
RESPONSIBILITIES:•Handles all aspects of sales activities, including territory planning, prospecting, customer presentations, proposal/pricing generation, contract negotiations and closing.
•Develops and maintains direct key relationships to expand the sales footprint
•Directs the development of short and long term business plans and programs in their assigned territory
•Assists in market research to determine trends, industry needs, and customer preferences
•Assists in establishing annual volume goals for increasing market share
•Performs marketing analysis for their assigned territory and develops the sales forecast
•Utilize CRM to track client contact information, communication with potential clients and perform other sales related functions.
•Participates in both short and long range sales plans in conjunction with management
•Represents the company at trade shows and associations to promote products
QUALIFICATIONS:•Bachelor's degree in business related studies preferred.
•3-5 years’ experience in sales and marketing required
•Ability to communicate at all levels of an organization and external suppliers
•Ability to work out of the home office and willingness to travel up to 75% within their territory. Must live in territory
•Must have some knowledge of agriculture, material handling, or packaging.
