SUMMARY:
We are seeking Controller to join a great Accounting Department. You will be responsible for insuring all financial and accounting transactions of the company are correct, accurate and in compliance with GAAP.
RESPONSIBILITIES:•Supervise 2 members of the accounting department
•Review accuracy of cash account balances and payroll reports for
•Administrate and reconcile annual 401k deductions, funding, bank and fiduciary postings and serve as member of the 401k committee.
•Review general ledger expense activity for classification respective to overall financial, management, and tax reporting requirements.
•Manage preparation and audit/review of year end financial report and general ledgers.
•Compile papers and tax filings for tax reporting requirements.
•Manage preparation of documents for the organizations 401k testing, audit, and form 5500 reports
•Manage preparation of documentation for yearly insurance policy renewal and annual policy audits.
•Maintain documentation and administration of the organization’s accounts payable liabilities, and accounts receivable ledgers, term note and working capital borrowing requirements and covenants of the organization
•Manage entities estimated/actual (Fed and State) income tax payment requirements.
•Manage government tax audits and document request work papers as required.
•Review, summarize, and audit monthly bank statements for confirmation and financial GL input.
QUALIFICATIONS:•Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, tax. And/or related field from four-year college or university.
•Minimum five years progressive accounting responsibilities including audit, tax, budget preparation, and financial reporting experience.
•Previous supervisory experience
•Experience in the manufacturing, distribution, or construction industry is desirable.
•Strong knowledge of MS Office and Eclipse.
•Strong knowledge of accounting principles and corporate tax requirements
•Ability to effectively communicate financial information to management and others with varying levels of the organization.
•CPA preferred
