DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Utilizes knowledge of promotional material and AMA style requirements, together with writing, editing, copy editing and proofreading skills to analyze and correct all promotional and educational materials.
2.Ensures all advertising, promotional materials and Medical Education materials meet Actavis standards and policies.
3.Reviews all promotional and educational materials (including TV and journal ads, visual aids, monographs, video programs and accompanying workbooks, computer programs, slide presentations, symposia proceedings, convention panels, hospital posters, calendars, wall charts, letters, newsletters, invitations, premiums, direct mail pieces, and patient education booklets) for factual and grammatical accuracy, clarity of message, thoroughness, and compliance with FDA and AMA requirements and Company style.
4.Insures that there are no typographical errors in any of our promotional pieces, that the correct references are given for cited material, and that the most current prescribing information is used.
5.Establishes and maintains various reference files on all changes concerning promotional material and specifications. Researches and retrieves information as necessary and makes appropriate recommendations for changes in content to meet all government requirements. Stays informed and current on changes in government regulations concerning advertising and promotional materials.
6.Establishes and maintains Marketing’s editorial standards. Keeps abreast of AMA’s style to insure proper communication with physicians.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
1.Strong writing, project management, and people skills are critical, as is familiarity with medical terminology.
2.Comfortable leading meetings to meet objectives of promotional review meetings
3.Experience with promotional review systems such as Veeva or Zinc a plus
4. Experience in the Health Care field in Marketing, Public Relations, or an ad agency environment strongly preferred.
5.Knowledge of AMA style preferred.
6.BS or BA degree is a minimum requirement.
