Administrative Assistant at Palmetto Community Action Partnership in Charleston, SC

Palmetto Community Action Partnership is a Community Action Agency (CAA). Community Action Agencies are private non-profit organizations that were created to combat poverty by fostering self-sufficiency among low-income and working families. We are seeking the ideal candidate to provide assistance to the Community Outreach Director to support emergency assistance Outreach programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
•Assists in internal and external correspondence.
•Assist with the confirmation of client’s appointments and verifies documents needed.
•Prepares files for emergency assistance clients.
•Gathers data for reporting information by utilizing DBA client tracking software.
•Orders and retrieves office supplies and equipment.
•Maintains CP/HVAC Database information and reporting.
•Assists in emergency report data and formatting it for presentation.
•Compiles daily contact logs and checks for completion before submission

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
•High School Diploma acceptable; Associates degree in office management preferred.
•2-3 years experience in program or office administration.
•Experience with Microsoft applications including Access, Excel and Word.
•Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
•Must have dependable transportation.
•Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
